Ariston washing machines are part of the family of brands of washing machines, produced worldwide, by the company formerly know as Merloni Ellecttrodomestici S.p.A., founded in 1975.

Producers of household appliances, Merloni changed the name of the company to the Indesit Company S.p.A., in 2005. After that date, Ariston washing machines remained in the family of brands.
