Bosch Washing Machine Mold Problem

I bought a Nexxt 500 plus Series washer and dryer about 14 month ago. The sealant ring in the washer developed mold which I tried every which
way to get rid off. I wrote Bosch customer service about the problem.

They answered back that I should run the washer empty with a bleach solution (tried that one too of course)if that doesn't help I need a new sealer. Since the hand wash cycle did not run right either (the sweater came out half try) I called service and ordered a new sealer too.

The result: I was told they could install a new sealer but I would have the same problem again after a while, and the hand wash cycle still does not run proper! I also bought a Bosch side by side fridge online which is a cheaply done machine. No more Bosch for me.

Mold on gasket

Same problem here. Bosch told me to run bleach through the washer. First time I ever had to wash my washing machine after I use it.

Disappointment with product-washer&dryer

I have the same problem(mold), with my Bosch washer. I was told the same thing about using bleach...to no avail! The horrific odor and poor quality cleaning. I've tried bleach, washer cleaning products, vinegar and leaving door open when not in use; hopeless. The dryer broke three months in and was down six weeks before repaired No more Bosch for me.

Mold on Bosch front loading washer gasket

I purchased a Bosch front loading washing machine in 2008 and just discovered the mold lurking behind each crease of the gasket. I purchased a new rubber gasket and was told that it would come with installation instructions. The instructions were simply 3 pictures that were not helpful. The serviceman that I called wants $105 to install the rubber gasket. That alone adds $157 to the cost of the appliance. I have a mind to return the gasket and live with the mold which is not too bad yet. I was also told by the Bosch representative that the machine should be wiped dry at the end of each wash day. It seems like a poor design issue and I am not at all happy with Bosch.

Bosch Mold Problems

I've had a Bosch washer and dryer now since 2006. I have a front loading washer (not sure if they have top load models) with the grey seal. Seems that the mold problem started a few months after owning the machine. I was told by customer service, that I should dry out the machine to avoid this issue. I did that for awhile, but it never improved. I had a repair man here when the wire holding the seal came loose, and mangled in with some of my clothes. He said the mold issue is a common problem with Bosch. The design doesn't allow for the water to drain properly, and pool in the seal. This problem is big enough for me to never ever recommend a Bosch.

mold on door gasket

I have a bosch clothes washer and the door gasket has mold and cannot be removed . Ihave the gasket replaced and tyhe repairman ripped me off. charged more that the original estimate. he spent too much time on his cell and i paid for the time. no more bosch for me . what a mess at the price.

Numerous problems

I will never purchase another Bosch product, I have a Bosch washing machine, it also has the mold problem, and half the time my clothes do not spend dry, on the spin cycle it vibrates all over the floor so I continually have to stop the machine, and reach in and rearrange the clothes to get it to quit vibrating. We have done everything the book says to do for these problems, so today we had a repairman come out, more or less he says we just have a bad washer.
