KitchenAid Front Load (Whirlpool Duet)

I have a Kitchen Aid front load washer. I have had it for a few years. Until recently, I haven't had any problems but I must admit that I am a light user.

Kitchen Aid is owned by Whirlpool. Whirlpool is another American company that I believe continues to represent what is wrong with American companies. There has been a large amount of users complaining about F11 error from the CCU. When you have a large amount of users that have problems just shortly after the warranty expires and a company that doesn't stand behind you, one must wonder why consumers would continue to buy from them.

It would be one thing if one only spent a few hundred dollars for the machines, but they were several thousand dollars. To expect a machine at that cost to last a lot longer is very reasonable. I found the problem with my washer machine was a CCU board that was poorly built. This is evident by the poor solder on the board and components that appear to be marginal at best. What amazes me is why American companies continue to think that saving a $1.00 or in some cases far less than that is going to help them in the long run.

Customers don't forget and will consider these quality issues next time they buy another appliance. Congratulations Whirlpool, you have lost another long faithful customer because you tried to save a couple of dollars by the lowest bidder. Very unfortunate given that customers pay a lot of money for your machines to get less than good performance.
