Maytag Washer Review
by Linda
My washing machine is an old Maytag. It is very very old model. It still runs well and gets the clothes clean. When I have really dirty things I just toss some Oxyclean in there and all is well.
I can get my whole huge quilt in there. Sometimes I wash too many clothes for the drier to dry them well all at once. It will only seem to get unbalanced if you get towels in there and too many on one side. One time I washed a tiny toy in there and it somehow got sucked part way out with the water but we got a man here that easily fixed it.
We bought it used and have had it something like 5 years; it's really old but really runs fine. When I do have to replace it I might be tempted to get a washer/dryer combo to save space.
This washer is a top loader. Front loaders are supposed to be better but due to space top loader works better here, unless we someday get that combo machine.
It is plain white aside from the control panel. It is basically easy to clean but a little tough to clean under the back of the lid. Probably not a common issue but I have a lot of messes to clean up here. The hook up and using has always been easy. It plugs into a normal outlet.
