Samsung washer/dryer set - DEAD AFTER TWENTY DAYS!!!

by Cathy
(Jefferson, NY)

Bought a matching Samsung washer/dryer set at Lowe's in Oneonta, NY.

On the twentieth day of use (Nov 20, 2009) began inputing the wash cycle, suddenly all lights out on the washing machine (not even an error code on LED display). Obviously still under warranty and am awaiting a call on Dec. 1 for an appt from A&E Factory Service on Dec. 2. After Googling A&E Factory Service and reading all the horror stories, do not have much hope in getting this thing repaired, ever.

Will wait to see what happens. Will definitely take legal action, which is what everyone should do who has spent their hard earned $ on appliances.

Follow-up on my Samsung washer
by: CL

A&E Factory Service came as they promised; hooked the washer's internal computer up to his diagnostic laptop and he determined the board was fried (remember, this washer is 20 DAYS old). Problem is, this unit is so new (Model WF209ANW/XAA, the one you see advertised on TV with the little boy stacking his toys on top while it spins)that THERE ARE NO REPLACEMENT COMPUTER BOARDS AVAILABLE! Lowe's is taking both these pieces of junk out next week and giving me (at no extra charge)a new GE set~~have had GE all my life (33 years). Should never have changed! Will never own anything Samsung, EVER!
