Do not buy this expensive piece of junk! After owing several Kenmores and/or cheap washers (that lasted), I decided to splurge on a steam washer with all the "bells and whistles" when we renovated our house.

I had problems with this after only 4 months of use (major leaking) but at least that was under warranty. As soon as the one year warranty was over, the machine completely died - the circuit board failed.

The repair guy said this was far to early for such a thing to happen but the Whirlpool rep I spoke with disagreed and said something like "hey - things break." Because a new circuit board alone is around $400, I will be junking this machine and buying a reliable Kenmore. No more Whirlpool’s for me!

If you are using Tide powder detergent then be ware it will burn holes in your clothes. Change detergent from Tide.

We purchased our whirlpool duet last Feb the sales person said it was the best, spent all this money quess what washer broke it will cost 800.00 dollars to fix the price of a new washer they said the parts would be under warranty quess what their not salesmen lied to us my husband is mad don't purchase this washer even though I really liked its not worth the value!

Avoid Whirlpool at all cost!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just paid $524.00 to get our 3 yr old washer fixed and was without a washer for 6 weeks no parts available in USA for this piece of junk. whirlpool tech service was no help. The tech had to get parts from a newer model to get it fixed. I thought they had to supply parts for 10 years after manufacture, I was wrong. We are retired and the washer has little use. Thought we would get this state of the art washer and dryer to last the us. Our old Kenmore was a gem and should have kept it. Please learn from my experience that this whirlpool stuff is junk and their service is terrible. you buy whirlpool and you get screwed. Had the kenmore set for 17 yrs and never once did it break and still is running for 20 years now. I wish I checked them out before i bought. Don't buy Whirlpool.........

I would ck to see who makes kenmore ,whirlpool bought up alot of their computation and got rid of them or turned them into junk they also bought a few repair services. Good business they buy up computation make their products cheaper and then buy up the repairs services to fix their junk i bought a whirlpoll washer and dryer in 2002 and have had 9 repairs between the both will never buy another whirlpool product.

I HAVE THIS WASHER FOR OVER THAN 3 YEARS...
IT IS CLEANING OUR CLOTHES...BUT THE COST OF THE CLEANING IS A RIPPING CLOTHES ONCE EVERY FEW WASHES EVEN IF YOU ARE NOT OVER LOAD THE WASHER...AND A SMALL HOLES ALMOST EACH TIME YOU WASH..WHIRLPOOL WOULD NOT GIVE YOU ANY SOLUTION FOR THIS PROBLEM...THE TECNICIAN WOULD CHECK IF THERE IS ANY SHARP EDGE IN THE WASHER .IF NOT HE WOULD ASKE YOU DO YOU OVER LOAD THE WASHER?.DO YOU USE BLEACH? WICH I AM NOT

WHIRLPOOL SHOULD ADMIT THERE DEFFECT DESIGN!!!
